The en suite to the master bedroom was designed in conjunction with a very experience plumber. It has a walk-in power shower with fixed glass screen and a large drench head. There’s also a hand-held shower head.

There’s a long mirror and counter top, with storage recesses, and a washstand basin with monobloc tap. The loo is, well, a loo. It’s a lovely, bright east-facing bathroom which is great in the morning. The floor is tiled with black marble-effect tiles. The en suite is connected to the master bedroom with an obscure-glass glazed panel door.

As you can see, ceiling lights are fitted throughout, and the shower has a combination light and extractor fan, which vents outside via the loft.

family bathroom

Our family bathroom was installed new when we bought the house. It has a corner bath with power shower over, loo, washstand basin and monobloc tap, large airing cupboard (which houses the hot water tank), and plenty of storage.

A boxed area over the pipework from the loo has a custom-made lid, and there is also a wall-mounted mirror cabinet which neatly hides behind the bathroom door. The airing cupboard also houses the shower pump, which is on isolators so easy to upgrade or replace, neither of which is necessary right now!

The radiator is a ‘ladder’ style upright chrome one, which doubles as a towel rail.
